The weightlessness of this pose amidst destroyed surroundings mimics the transience I felt this summer following the end of a long term relationship. This image continues a focus in my photographic work of capturing the intersection of old and new, urban disintegration and nature’s reclamation. New shoes, jeans torn by design, bright spray paint tags, dripping and peeling paint, and almost unidentifiable objects broken and strewn about, united in an almost RGB color scheme. Light pours into this place where no human should be breathing in dust and slowly evaporating fumes.
